Your Privacy Choices
This page has one switch. Below, we explain what it does. The full rules are in the Cookie and Tracking Policy and the Privacy Policy.
Counting how the site is used
We count which pages of this website get read, so we know what to build and what to fix. We record the web address of the page, the page that sent you here, and rough details about your device and your browser.
We also record a few of the things you do on a page:
- which buttons you pressed
- which pricing or comparison page you opened
- which question you expanded in an FAQ, meaning our list of common questions
- which free calculator you used, which of its fields you started with, whether it worked out an answer, and whether you asked it to remember your figures for next time
- if a page breaks while you are using it, that something went wrong, and how quickly pages loaded for you, so we can find the fault
When you ask us to send you the app, it records the trade you picked from the list and the country we worked out, and nothing else from that form.
It does not record your name, your email address, or anything you type into a form. It is never used for advertising and is never sold.
Right now nothing is being counted on this site. We have not switched on any counting service yet. We still save your answer, so if we do switch one on later, your answer is already in place.
Checking your setting…
We save your answer in this browser only, so set it again on every browser and every device you use. If you delete your browsing history, your answer is deleted too. The Zeus phone app has its own switch: Settings, then Privacy, then Share Usage Data.
Global Privacy Control
Some browsers, and some add-ons you can install in a browser, send an automatic “do not track me” message. It is called Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends it, we turn analytics off on every page before anything loads, and you do not have to tell us anything. That message wins. It keeps analytics off even if the switch above says on, and this page cannot turn it back on.
