How ZEUS compares

Twelve apps a trade business would really look at. We read each one on its own pricing page, on the same day, and asked all of them the same five questions.

Read on 2026-08-01 from each product’s own published pages. “Not stated” means the company does not say yes or no. We will not mark something as missing just because they stayed quiet. Check their own website for today’s price before you decide.

What the five columns mean

Free Plan
Can you keep using it for free, or does it stop after a while?
Works with no signal
In a basement with no signal, can you still write the work down, or only read it?
Seats in a block
Does the bill go up every time somebody else needs to open the app?
Price on the website
Can you find out what it costs without talking to anyone?
Record per address
Does the history live at the property, so you walk in already knowing?

✓ = yes · ✗ = no · — = only some of it · NOT STATED = the company does not say.

Every comparison

Side by side, one at a time

Each page carries the full table for that product, what its pricing page actually says, and an honest answer to when you should pick it over Zeus.

Field service platforms

The direct shortlist. Scheduling, jobs, quoting and invoicing in one product, sold to small and mid-sized trade businesses.

You have to ask the price

Built for bigger companies, and none of them publishes what it costs. You only find out the price by asking.

Quote and invoice tools

Focused products that do the paperwork well and leave the job itself to you. Simpler on purpose.

For one trade, or close to it

Built for one trade, or for small business in general rather than for work on site. Worth knowing what they cannot do.

The short version

Most of these apps charge you for every person, or stop the free version after two weeks, or make you ask what it costs. Zeus does it differently. The free plan never runs out, and not one of the other twelve has a free plan at all. Crew comes in four sizes, so a whole team is one price rather than a charge per person. The price is on the pricing page. And the app keeps recording your work when the signal drops.

Every product compared here does one of three things: it publishes its prices in US dollars, it shows a dollar amount without saying which dollars, or it publishes no price at all. Zeus is priced in Canadian dollars. So the numbers side by side are not a straight comparison.

Try it on your own jobs. That tells you more than a table does.

The free plan runs as many jobs, quotes and invoices as you like, and you can bring in the phone contacts you pick.
