Gutter Installation Checklist
A seamless or sectional gutter install from the measure-up to the handover: fascia condition, run lengths and outlet positions, slope, hangers, seams, downspouts, the water test and the record the Client keeps.

Measure-Up 6/6
A downspout that empties against the foundation moves the problem rather than solving it. Look at where each outlet will discharge before the position is fixed.
Layout and Slope 3/3
Many installers work to roughly 1/4 inch of fall per 10 feet of run, and the gutter maker's instructions may give a different figure. Long runs are often split with a high point in the middle and an outlet at each end.
Forming and Hanging 7/7
Closer spacing is common where snow and ice load the gutter. Write the spacing used on the job record.
Downspouts 3/3
Water running down the inside of the pipe then passes over each joint instead of out through it.
